3v3 Team Event

Single-gender rosters of three play a 3-game tie against every other roster.

How it works

Players are grouped into rosters of three. Every roster plays every other roster a tie: three doubles games using the fixed pairing rotation (Player A + B, A + C, B + C), so each player partners each teammate exactly once and sits out exactly one game. Whichever team wins 2 of the 3 games wins the tie โ€” thereโ€™s no tiebreaker game.

Who itโ€™s for

Team-based leagues or club nights run in squads of three rather than as individual pickup play. Rosters are meant to be built single-gender for the doubles pairings to work as intended โ€” Dink+ doesnโ€™t collect gender or enforce this when you set up a Quick Robin.

Players and courts

  • Minimum 6 players (2 teams of 3). Player count must be a multiple of 3.
  • With N teams, the event runs Nร—(Nโˆ’1)/2 ties (3 games each) so every team faces every other team once.

Settings

  • Teams โ€” 2 to 20 rosters of 3.
  • Scoring โ€” the win target and margin for each game; see Scoring formats.
  • Courts in Quick Robin defaults to 2 like every format, and can be raised; the fallback of half the team count (rounded down) only applies to an event run without a court limit.
