Fixed Team Round Robin

Pre-assigned doubles teams that rotate through courts to face every other team.

How it works

Use this when players already have a partner they’re staying with all night. Teams (not individual players) rotate through courts using the circle method: one team stays fixed and the rest rotate around it each round. With enough courts and enough rounds, every team plays every other team exactly once β€” the setup screen shows how many rounds are needed for full coverage.

Who it’s for

Pre-assigned doubles teams β€” leagues, club nights, or any group that’s already paired up and wants to face every other team once.

Players and courts

  • Minimum 4 players (2 teams). Player count must be even β€” every player needs a pre-assigned partner.
  • No gender rules.
  • With an odd number of teams, one team gets a bye each round.
  • If courts are limited, some team-vs-team pairings get skipped that rotation, and byes are handed out to whichever teams have sat out the fewest times so far.

Settings

  • Teams β€” 2 to 30.
  • Rounds (Quick Robin) β€” how many rounds to play; more rounds are needed as team count grows to cover every matchup.
  • Courts (Quick Robin, 1–10) or Limit courts per round (events) β€” how many matches can run at once; leave off/at max to use every available court.
